Nutrition & Allergens
We believe you deserve to know exactly what's in your food. No fine print, no guesswork — just full transparency.
Calorie Information
Every item on our menu displays a calorie count calculated by a certified nutritionist. These values are based on standard portion sizes and may vary slightly depending on seasonal ingredient substitutions or customizations you make to your order.
Full macronutrient breakdowns — including protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, and sodium — are available for every menu item on our online menu. Simply tap any item to see its complete nutritional profile.
We update our nutritional information quarterly and whenever a recipe changes. In-store nutritional guides are available at every register upon request.
Allergen Handling Procedures
We take food allergies seriously. Our kitchens follow strict protocols to minimize cross-contamination, though we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. Here is how we handle the most common allergens:
Gluten
Wheat, barley, rye
Dairy
Milk, cheese, butter, cream
Eggs
Eggs and egg products
Tree Nuts
Almonds, walnuts, cashews
Soy
Soy and soy-derived ingredients
Shellfish
Shrimp, crab, lobster
Our Protocols
- All menu items are labeled with their full allergen profile, both online and in-store.
- Kitchen staff are trained on allergen safety and cross-contamination prevention at hire and quarterly thereafter.
- Dedicated prep surfaces and utensils are used for allergen-free preparations when requested.
- We use color-coded cutting boards and separate fryers for gluten-free items.
- If you have a severe allergy, please inform our team before ordering so we can take additional precautions.
- Our ingredient suppliers provide certificates of analysis for all major allergens.
Dietary Accommodations
We design our menu to be inclusive. Here's how we support different dietary needs:
Over 40% of our menu is fully plant-based. Look for the green Vegan badge on any menu item. Our vegan dishes are prepared with dedicated utensils and separate prep surfaces.
Most of our menu is vegetarian-friendly. Items marked Vegetarian may contain dairy or eggs but never meat, poultry, or seafood.
We offer gluten-free grain bases (brown rice, quinoa) and clearly label all items containing wheat, barley, or rye. While we cannot guarantee a fully gluten-free kitchen, we take cross-contamination precautions seriously.
Our dairy-free options use oat milk, coconut cream, and cashew-based sauces. All dairy-free items are clearly marked. Ask any team member for substitution options.
We clearly label all items containing tree nuts or peanuts. If you have a severe nut allergy, please inform your server or note it in your online order so we can take extra precautions.
Our Transparency Commitment
Transparency is one of our four founding pillars, and nowhere is it more important than in what you eat. We believe every person has the right to make fully informed food choices — whether you are managing a life-threatening allergy, following a dietary plan, or simply curious about where your food comes from.
Every Birdy menu item includes a complete ingredient list, full allergen disclosure, nutritional breakdown, and sourcing information. We don't hide behind vague labels like “natural flavors” or “proprietary blend.” If it's in your food, you'll know about it.
If you ever have a question about an ingredient, a preparation method, or a nutritional detail that isn't covered on our menu, our team members are trained to help. You can also reach us at nutrition@birdycafe.com for detailed inquiries.
